About Armstrong Bears

Hi, I'm Heather

Armstrong bears was created from enjoying a hobby in my spare time making teddy bears for my family and friends for special occasions like birthdays or if there was a new baby born in the family. I had such lovely comments from everyone and a whole load of encouragement that I should start making bears as a business. So here I am! Creating beautiful bears from beautiful Harris Tweed® fabric.

I love Harris Tweed its such amazing quality and so nice to work with. I first used Harris Tweed fabric when I made a bear for my husband for Valentines Day and this bear is now the face of Armstrong bears! AKA Mr Armstrong! Each bear is made with love by hand and so no two bears are the same! They each have their own little personalities, and I cannot wait for them to all find their new forever homes! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Love and hugs,
Heather x

About Harris Tweed®

Harris Tweed is one of the world’s most iconic fabrics, handwoven by inhabitants of The Outer Hebrides for centuries.

Originally woven by Islanders to protect themselves from the unforgiving North Atlantic climate of the cold and blustery Western Isles of Scotland, Harris Tweed has become the perennial choice for those making premium garments, soft furnishings and accessories the world over.

In order to be Harris Tweed, the fabric must be handwoven by islanders at their homes in The Outer Hebrides, finished in the Outer Hebrides, made using yarn that has been dyed, carded and spun in the Outer Hebrides using 100% virgin wool.

The brand Harris Tweed has that instantly recognisable Orb trademark which is widely recognised as a quality product and are property of The Harris Tweed Authority.

Our Supplier

Kenneth Mackenzie Ltd

Refined For Balance
